GreenFolders, Inc. Announces First Public Release of GreenFolders File Production System
Murray, UT—January 15, 2009—GreenFolders today announced the release of version 2.2 of GreenFolders, an enterprise-class digital file production system designed to help businesses of all sizes reduce their reliance on paper.
The GreenFolders software product allows companies to "go green" by converting from paper files and documents to digital ones. The system was developed to be industry-neutral, with pre-designed business templates to configure the platform for a particular type of company. Even with templates, the system can be configured to exactly follow the business rules of a particular organization, with process triggers and assignable tasks that help move files through to completion.
The results have meant large savings for current users, including reduced costs for paper and equipment and time savings through streamlining processes.
"It's truly amazing," said Scott Halverson, a partner with Integrated Title Services, which has been using GreenFolders for 12 months. "We honestly haven't created a paper file in a year, and we're seeing monthly savings of over $10,000 in paper and copy costs alone." Halverson says his 50 employees didn't require much encouragement to make the shift from working with paper to working with electronic files. "The processes stayed pretty much the same," he said, "It's just the medium that changed."
The release of GreenFolders 2.2 comes at a critical time when companies are doing anything they can to remain competitive. "In this economy, we all know we have to be more effective to stay afloat," says Mike Kirby, GreenFolders' CEO. Kirby expects that this new GreenFolders release will gain traction with companies who want to reduce fixed costs and streamline their operations. "Lower costs and greater productivity are the key to survival in today's business climate," Kirby adds, "and that's what you get with GreenFolders."
Even though this is the first public release of the GreenFolders, the software is by no means a "new" system, says Todd Hougaard, GreenFolders’ executive vice president. "We've had about a dozen companies, with over 100 users, using Greenfolders on a daily basis,” said Hougaard. "We're excited to get the product into the market, so other companies can see the rewards of "going green" that our current users are seeing every day."
